Access Workshops: Access to Financial Independence

Learning Module

Take the Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide an overview of common considerations in accessing financial independence. Learners will review basic banking terms, learn about disability benefits, ABLE accounts, and other financial programs, as well as receive tips to successfully plan ahead for a stable financial future.

In addition to this workshop, the Financial Independence Checklist acts as a companion guide to ensure you are on track to achieve your financial goals. This resource provides checklists specific to parents and caregivers, adults living with neuromuscular disease and young adults. While not all the steps will apply to you, the checklists can help you and your loved ones organize your needs related to financial independence.
