MDA Medical Education

MDA offers a series of educational programs developed for clinicians and specialists who manage and treat individuals with neuromuscular disease. The Medical Education team has partnered with the country’s top thought leaders and experts to create a series of educational programs including CE/CME-accredited Grand Round webinars, peer-to-peer educational slide decks and case studies. See below for a listing of all Medical Education programs.

The Medical Education team will be updating the hub regularly as new programs become available. To receive updates as new programs are available, and to receive our Monthly Report for clinicians and researchers, click here.

For any questions about programs offered please contact MedEd@mdausa.org.

MDA Clinical Research Awareness Program

In an effort to support awareness of neuromuscular disease clinical research, the Medical Education team provides a service to promote clinical trials and observational studies that are actively enrolling participants. Newly enrolling trials and studies are announced via the MDA Quest blog, e-mail, social media, and posted to MDA.org.

Clinician Industry Update Webinars

MDA's Clinician Industry Update Webinars are programs which provide an opportunity for clinicians to receive information and updates impacting their clinical practice directly from pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical equipment companies. Topics covered may include information on current clinical trials, drug development and the information impacting patients' experience.

Considerations in Care Case Studies

Developed in conjunction with expert thought leaders, the Considerations in Care Case Studies explore multidisciplinary clinical decision making through the lens of in-depth experiences of people living with various neuromuscular diseases.

Grand Rounds Webinars

Featuring expert thought leaders across neuromuscular diseases, the MDA Grand Rounds Webinars include best practices and practical clinical considerations in the management and care of individuals with neuromuscular disease. Many programs are available for CME credit.

Monthly Report for Clinicians and Researchers

The MDA Monthly Report eNewsletter provides a summary of recent and important updates and events for clinicians and researchers working in neuromuscular disease.

What's New in Neuromuscular Disease Webinars

As part of our commitment to provide relevant, timely and impactful clinical education, MDA conducts a series of short briefings of emerging topics/events that have the capacity to impact neuromuscular disease care. The What’s New in NMD Series is designed to help clinicians across all disciplines stay up-to-date on factors that impact clinical care.

Peer-to-Peer Educational Slide Sets
