Be a light of hope this holiday season. Ignite more progress, restore more freedom, and inspire more hope for families living with neuromuscular disease.

MDA Peer Connections

We understand the importance of connecting with others who are facing similar challenges. With MDA’s Peer Connections program, we can connect you with someone with a similar diagnosis to share resources and support. Through the program interest form, participants can specify that they are open to being connected to others in MDA’s community, based on criteria including diagnosis, age, interests, and preferred form of communication. To get started on a match, please complete one of the program interest forms below, and email to resourcecenter@mdausa.org. Upon receipt, an MDA Specialist will contact you directly.

MDA Peer Connections is offered in both English and Español.

  • Who can join the program?

You must first be registered with MDA to participate in MDA Peer Connections. Anyone in the community is welcome to join the Peer Connections program, including caregivers, parents, spouses, or siblings. For connections among minors, parents and/or guardians will be the main points of contact and for communications between matches.
  • How does the program work?

Participants can specify that they are open to being connected to others in MDA’s community based on criteria including diagnosis, age, interests, and preferred form of communication. Once a program interest form is completed, a Specialist will work with you to find your match.
  • Why would I want to be involved?

Specialists work to connect individuals with similar diagnosis to share resources and support on a one-on-one personal connection match. This is an opportunity for members of the neuromuscular disease community to build bonds with one another, both across the country and in their own neighborhoods.
