This MDA Virtual Learning Series aims to provide relevant, up-to-date information on care, research advancements, and support for people living with DMD and their caregivers. Learners will receive information and resources to help navigate daily life and care decisions. Presentations will include:
- Navigating the insurance process, denial process, and other options for obtaining gene therapy and other new treatments in DMD
- Little Hercules Foundation
- Current treatment considerations, treatment options in the pipeline, and the difference in treatment options for DMD
- Dr. Kaitlin Batley, Neurologist, UT Southwestern and Children’s Health, Dallas, TX
- Cardiac treatment and care considerations for patients living with DMD
- Dr. Emily Hayes, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH
Attendees will receive recorded presentations prior to December 11th. On December 11th at 4:00pm ET, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions during the live Q&A session with the speakers.
There is no cost to MDA community members or healthcare providers to attend the event, but registration is required.
Unable to attend on December 11th? This series will be recorded for on-demand viewing. Please continue with registering even if you cannot attend to ensure you receive an email with the link to the recording. The recording will be available approximately 3-4 weeks after the live program.
