Activity Overview: 

This case study will explore early diagnosis and intervention in DMD in patient #2 (17-year-old boy). The focus of this case study is DMD delayed diagnosis, treatment interruption.

Learning Objectives: 
  • Educate providers (pediatricians, family physicians, general neurologists) about the importance of early intervention in patients with DMD​
  • The case study will examine two scenarios showing the impact of early treatment on clinical outcomes​
    • A patient who received standard of care soon after symptom onset ​
    • A patient who faced diagnostic and/or treatment delays
