Muscular Dystrophy Association & Magic Wheelchair Launch Instagram Competition October 24 to Raise Awareness for Inclusion for People with Neuromuscular Disabilities for Halloween
NEW YORK, NY, October 24, 2022 – The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), in collaboration with Magic Wheelchair, launched the 3rd annual Instagram competition for a special Halloween costume giveaway. The sweepstakes begins today and runs through October 27. The competition launched today with this @MDAorg Instagram post.
Entries by or for someone living with a neuromuscular disease provide an opportunity to win a Magic Wheelchair costume specially designed for one randomly selected winner. The winner will be announced on Monday, October 31 on Halloween, and the costume will be revealed in 2023.
To enter, the following steps must be taken:
- Go to Instagram and follow @MDAorg and @MagicWheelchair.
- Comment a on all of MDA's Instagram posts from 10/24 – 10/27 for a chance to win a Magic Wheelchair costume for 2023.
- We will announce the winner on Monday, October 31

The organizations will be engaging the community by also sharing a download to coloring book pages on Instagram @MDAorg inspired by real-life @MagicWheelchair costumes and encouraging followers to share their costume ideas which may be featured throughout the campaign when they tag @MDAorg and @MagicWheelchair.
MDA and Magic Wheelchair are both committed to empowering families living with neuromuscular diseases or any disability, to live independent lives. The organizations have collaborated for years, including a Halloween costume reveal in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
