    Meet Cassidy

    In 2018, Cassidy fulfilled her dream of becoming a mother. She describes motherhood as a source of "immense joy," though she acknowledges the unique challenges of parenting while living with a disability. Passionate about sharing her journey—from pregnancy and birth to postpartum and the ups and downs of parenting—Cassidy aims to create a close-knit community for mothers and aspiring mothers with disabilities. She is actively pursuing this dream by speaking at events and conferences on the topic.

    Meet Tyson

    Tyson has participated in several clinical trials. He is proud to be a part of the research that may one day result in a cure for his diagnosis. Tyson’s family says DMD has given him unexplainable maturity and strength to keep moving forward. Tyson especially loves MDA Summer Camp where he has found independence and community.

    Meet Anna

    Some of Anna’s favorite things are going to the beach, painting, watching tv, and doing 5K races with her dad. When she grows up, she hopes to become a famous scientist! A fun fact about Anna is that she plays on an adaptive baseball team! Being involved in MDA events has helped her and her family to feel a part of a community while giving back.
