    MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) have partnered for the ALS Educational Initiative to raise awareness and provide resources for fire fighters living with ALS. This initiative provides reliable information and critical resources to support fire fighters and their families impacted by ALS. Some research shows that fire fighters have a two-fold risk of ALS compared to the general population.
