Road Map to Independence for Young Adults

The "Road Map to Independence" is a guide to becoming your own advocate and living successfully with neuromuscular disease. This book assists teens, young adults and their families as they prepare for and transition into adulthood. The "Road Map to Independence" is designed to foster discussion within the MDA clinic setting and provides one set of age-appropriate considerations for the parents/guardians and a separate set of considerations for the teen with a neuromuscular disease.

The "Road Map to Independence" is currently being piloted on a limited basis in 14 MDA clinics. You may download this book at no charge for your own use. Your feedback about this guide is important to us and can be directed to Jodi Wolff, Director of Clinical Programs, at jwolff@mdausa.org.
