As your consitutent living in [town name], I’m writing to ask you to please delay the Nov. 15 implementation of the new Medicare policies for power mobility devices. The new eligibility requirements don’t account for the progressive nature of many disabilities. The reimbursement reductions ignore the fact that technologically enhanced power wheelchairs maintain health, safety and independence for people with severe disabilities. Thank you for your help in postponing implementation of the new Medicare eligibility and pricing policies until these issues can be resolved.
