VONAGE BECOMES MDA TELETHON SPONSOR
TUCSON, Ariz., July 18, 2005 – Vonage, the broadband telephony
company, has joined the national sponsor ranks of the MDA
Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
A leader in the broadband phone industry, Vonage joins dozens of other
national corporations, including Harley-Davidson, CITGO, Seven Up and
Anheuser-Busch, having cause-related marketing programs that raise funds
for the research and service programs of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Vonage will donate $30 to MDA for every new customer using the Internet
to sign up for Vonage services from July through September via www.vonage.com/mda.
Vonage provides subscribers with an Internet phone service allowing
their standard telephones to be connected to their broadband connection
via a telephone adapter. This provides unlimited local and long-distance
calling for only $24.99 a month.
MDA National Chairman Jerry Lewis said, “Vonage is providing considerable
savings to customers who make many long-distance and local calls and
is also contributing importantly to MDA by raising funds for medical
care and research. I encourage the public to learn more about this special
Vonage promotion by visiting the Vonage banner ad on MDA’s Web
site at www.mda.org.”
The Telethon will be broadcast Sept. 4-5, originating from The Beverly
Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.
