America’s muscle charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, is transforming the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon this weekend by integrating a simple yet highly memorable gesture throughout the 21½-hour show. TUCSON, Ariz. — The Muscular Dystrophy Association today announced that Lowe's Companies Inc., a partner with MDA since 2001, is launching the first “Make A Muscle, Make A Difference” national fundraising campaign to help advance MDA's lifesaving mission. The new program will run Aug. 30 to Sept. 13 in Lowe’s stores across the United States.
TUCSON, Ariz. — Neil Selinger, a former attorney and family man, has reinvented himself since being diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease) in spring 2009. He will be featured on the national broadcast of the 2010 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon over Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-6.
