NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Muscular Dystrophy Association announced today that performances by three of the world’s top country music acts will be broadcast during the prime-time MDA Labor Day Telethon on Sept. 4. The special performances were taped June 7 during their Grand Ole Opry live performances.

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Muscular Dystrophy Association today announced that the 25th Annual Mansfield Oil MDA Golf Classic once again raised the bar for fundraising, delivering a record $350,000 to help MDA speed research seeking treatments for progressive muscle diseases affecting more than a million Americans.

"As a labor of love, I've hosted the annual Telethon since 1966, and I'll be making my final appearance on the show this year by performing my signature song, 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
