Carla has been drawing since she was a child and especially enjoys creating cartoons, pictures of people and logos. Her hobbies include reading, gardening and making hooked rugs. This artwork was featured in the 2001 MDA Holiday Wishes card collection.
Christopher is a writer and has been painting for several years. He has shown his artwork in local exhibits and created a Web site that features a variety of his works.
Diane has had many one-woman shows at art galleries in Monterey, San Francisco and the Bay Area, as well as a one-woman show at Nordstroms in San Francisco. Her work also has been part of an annual show at the Alameda Historical Museum. Diane is a longtime member of the Alameda Art Association. For 13 years, she’s served as chairwoman of an MDA-sponsored support group in the San Francisco area.
After a 30-year career as an attorney, Charles turned his hobby of photography into a profession. Charles and his wife worked as a team, and he was well known in Colorado as a scenic photographer. Charles’ photos have been featured on postcards, calendars, greeting cards and magazines.
Tina is a self-taught artist who began drawing and painting in childhood. She also writes songs and poetry, and has had poems published in the Poetry Guild magazine.
Mallory has been drawing since she was a toddler. She participates in school art competitions. Mallory’s hobbies include knitting, music and playing video games. This is her second donation to the MDA Art Collection.
