Artist: 

Charles graduated in 1984 from Northwest High School in House Springs, MO.  He used pen and ink in creating this pointillism and line drawing artwork.

Mallory has been drawing since she was a toddler and especially likes to create images of bugs and butterflies.  She participates in school art competitions.  Mallory’s hobbies include knitting, music and playing video games.

Artist: 

Ariane was an accomplished New York artist whose works are in many permanent collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  Her stylized representational figures and exuberant use of color were distinctly her own.

Sunset at Lake Estes

After a 30-year career as an attorney, Charles turned his hobby of photography into a profession.  Well known in Colorado as a scenic photographer, he and his wife worked as a team.  Charles’ photos have been featured on postcards, calendars, greeting cards and magazines.

Still Life

Bill was involved in politics for many years, and his paintings have been exhibited in the Lackawanna Arts Festival.  He was a noted writer, having published his autobiography in 2001, and one of his plays was produced by the Scranton Public theatre.  In 1993 Bill received the MDA Personal Achievement Award for Pennsylvania.

Caroline has been painting for several years and received awards at the “Art Adventures” annual local art show for three years.  Her favorite activities include working on the computer and spending time with her friends

Artist: 

Ruth was an elementary teacher, guidance counselor and tutor.  She held bachelor and master’s degrees from Regis College and Framingham State College in Massachusetts.  Her artwork has been exhibited throughout New England.  Ruth also served as the 1999 MDA Personal Achievement Award recipient for Masachusetts.

Papa Cardinal

Artist: 

Jan earned a B. A. in English from California State University, Sacramento.  She has received awards for photography and painting.  Jan has also authored numerous articles and two books, and is a member of the MDA National Task Force on Public Awareness.  She was named the 2001 MDA National Personal Achievement Award recipient.
