Dinosaurs on the Move

Artist: 

Peter created this artwork at age 11 and donated artwork for many years for use on local MDA awards.  In 1999 one of his holiday drawings was featured on a card distributed by MDA national sponsor Harley-Davidson.  He also served as the 1994 Minnesota State Goodwill Ambassador.

Crossroads

Artist: 

Ryan created this artwork at age 11 at an MDA-sponsored summer camp.  Marbles were coated with paint and then rolled around on paper to create this unique design.  He graduated from high school with honors and is attending Bowling Green University majoring in sport management with a minor in journalism.

Kyle attended Edsel Ford High School.  His favorite activities included swimming, learning about computers and drawing sport cars.  This work of art was created in an MDA-sponsored children's art workshop held May 15, 1993, at the Detroit Institute of Art.

Cheerful Snowman

Ben created this artwork for the 2000 MDA Holiday Wishes card collection.  He graduated from Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY, with an associate degree in graphic arts and printing.  He works as a freelance graphic artist.  His hobbies include video games, sporting events and music.

Camp Potawatomi Camp Fire

Artist: 

Nathan created this artwork at age 9 at an MDA-sponsored children's summer camp.  He graduated from Eastern High School with honors and received the American Legion Citizen Award.  As a student, Nathan enjoyed science, band, musicals and drama club, and he received numerous blue ribbons and honor awards for his artwork locally and at 4-H exhibits.

Batman

Gerardo graduated from Sharpstown High School.  He began drawing several years ago and usually worked on two pictures at a time.  Gerardo’s hobbies included drawing, listening to music and perfecting his Spanish skills.

Autumn On the Farm

Artist: 

Tod was an avid self-taught artist who has won numerous awards at local exhibits. He painted with a brush inserted into a specially designed mouthpiece. Family and friends helped by opening and changing paints.

Angel

Blake created this artwork at age 17 for the 1999 MDA Holiday Wishes card collection. He and his family have been active in MDA activities locally for many years.

Ajo Historical Society

Artist: 

Jose's artwork was created in an MDA-sponsored children's art workshop held January 23, 1993, at the Arizona State University Art Building in Tempe, Arizona.  It has been shown in several exhibits and was featured in a holiday card.
