Conor has been drawing for many years and recently began painting with oils. His work has been shown in a school art show. His favorite school subject is science, and he plays wheelchair sports.
John created this artwork at age 17 while attending Paradise High School, where he served as art editor for the school’s literary magazine. He served as the MDA California State Goodwill Ambassador in 1985. Besides drawing by hand for many years, John also created computer artwork and won numerous blue ribbons at county and state fairs.
Jason created this drawing at age 11 at an MDA-sponsored art workshop in Los Angeles. He served as goodwill ambassador for MDA’s Los Angeles Chapter. This pen and ink drawing of a Japanese scene showing several villages with pagodas, samurai and kites in a mountainous landscape is done on blue-gray rice paper handmade by Jason.
Joshua has been drawing for several years. This artwork is an illustration for a book he’s writing. Other hobbies include watching movies and listening to all types of music.
James began creating computer art several years ago using the Fractal Design Painter programs, Corel Draw and Photoshop. He studied design at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield University and the Creative Art Workshop. His work appeared in the “National Association of Desktop Publishers Journal” and “Computer Graphics World” magazine.
Julian created this self-portrait at age 10 at an MDA-sponsored children’s art workshop held Oct. 2, 1992, at the Tucson Museum of Art. He is a former MDA Goodwill Ambassador for Southern Arizona.
Jose’s artwork was created in an MDA sponsored children’s art workshop held January 23, 1993, at the Arizona State University Art Building in Tempe. It has been shown in several exhibits and was featured in an MDA holiday card.
Matt created this painting at age 10 at an MDA-sponsored children’s art workshop held at the Arizona State University Art Building in Tempe, Ariz. He was very active in scouting.
