Yvonne Nieves

Endocrine Myopathies

Yvonne began concentrating on photography in 2002, and her works have received several awards. This violin was made by Harold Ira Sayre of Milan, Mo., who was a carpenter and loved music. He retired in 1976 and needing a pastime, decided to make violins even though he didn’t play or sing. The violin in this photo took 600 hours to complete and is now owned by his grandson. Mr. Sayre died several years ago, and the violin has not been played since, hence the title, “Sweet Silence.”
